Just some quick randomness today.. I've got so much going on it's hard to stay on top of everything!
Work has been crazy busy, we're in "season" and short staffed! So I've been going like a crazy person.. the hour and a half drive definitely doesn't help much either! But I'm determined to make this work!
I made it through my first event with WHBM last week Thursday, it went well. We were number #1 volume in our district at $8200! That was exciting.. there was so much put into the one day, that we were all exhausted come Friday, but we had a pretty good Valentine's/President's Day weekend. Other than a surprise visit from the Vice President of our company on Saturday that didn't go well at all, I was pleased with how we did. Those visits are always hard to swallow too, he was down vacationing with his wife and no one had any idea! Oh well... not a great first impression but I'm supposed to get more details tomorrow when I see my DM.
And.. I have an assistant manager who essentially does nothing. She's really a glorified full time sales person! She has no business being in her position at that store! She's driving me crazy and my other full time assistant is so fed up with her! I know I'll get through it, but goodness the stress right now!
My dad was down visiting last week, I got to spend some time with him which was nice, but he spent time Adrianna which was very good. I wish I could live near my parents so they had the opportunity to know their grandchild and vice versa. It's so hard with the short visits and just phone calls and talking on the computer. He got to take her to a Valentine's Party at Gymboree.. I think they all had lots of fun! He made a video of it, and hopefully I'll figure out how to get it on to here soon.. Auntie Emily and Uncle Allen also went with her and it seemed everyone had a great time. Afterward they went to dinner at Cody's and Adrianna ate her usual...French Fries!
I swear she thinks it's the 6th food group or something, at least she's really good about eating fruit too. She loves Apples, Bananas, Strawberries, Grapes, Blueberries, Pineapple, Melon... so I guess I'll take the French Fry eating. Her Dad bought her a little box of sugar free chocolates for Valentine's Day and she successfully ate the whole box in a day. Yes, she is definitely my daughter!
I guess that's all for now.. hopefully after my DM visit I'll have some good news to report!

Does a person ever really leave VS??
Ok , so I spent some time today organizing my clothes.. and when I got to my bra drawer, I made sure every strap was on the second hook and then colorized them in my drawer.. WINP and ROYGBIV, making sure all my straps were tucked in nicely the cups lined up and if there was a pattern on the outside of the cup it goes in color order by what's on the inside.
Now my panty drawer looks
Not much new to report..
Well, much to the urging of Amber.. I am finally posting my 2nd entry! It's been a long couple of weeks, the drive to and from work everyday is really starting to wear on me. And it's not really the drive, more so the having to get up at the crack of dawn!
I started last week with my trainer, twice a week.. he's really great and makes the time go by quickly but he kicks my butt!
I also had my first appointment last week with the "fat doctor" it went alright, although the diet plan they give you is really tough for me. I was supposed to do 5 days of protein only! Do you have any idea how difficult that is for someone who is addicted to carbs?? AND he tells me, you can only have Starbucks if you take it without milk.. ok really has he never had a triple grande half vanilla/half caramel skinny latte! I can't go without those every day! So on top of no starbucks, and no vitamin water because it has 13 grams of carbs in it, the Super Bowl was this weekend, and it's just been a tough week for me. So I ate lots of yummy food at the party, and was really bad Monday and had a huge ice cream sundae from Kilwains for lunch it was Chocolate Chip Caramel ice cream, with hot caramel drizzled on top with dark chocolate chunks. So yummy, So yummy! (As Adrianna's favorite show would say). Anyways, I found out today that I gained 2.6 pounds this week.. TERRIBLE! So besides feeling like a complete failure, when the doctor comes in to see me, he's like what were you doing last week?? I felt like such a loser, especially since they said the average weight loss in the first week is 5-10 pounds.
Adrianna got to go to her play class twice this week. We went yesterday to make up since we didn't go last Wednesday. Neither of us got up very early after being at my sisters until late watching Sex And The City Movie. The class yesterday was packed! There must have been at least 14 kids plus a set of twins.. it was like chaos. But she had a good time as usual. She even walked on the high and low balance beam, holding my hand of course. Today when we went it was a much smaller crowd, just three other kids besides her.. so a much calmer environment. It's always so neat to watch her interact with the other children and to see the others as well and what they do. There was one little boy named Joey who would bring her over a ball all the time... before they started their next activity.
Not much else exciting is going on in our world, Adrianna's vocabulary is starting to expand... She says all the dogs names of course, Mama, Papa, Leelee, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie, Uncle Allen, Apple, Milk, Grapes, Chocolate, Yo Gabba Gabba, Diego, Elmo, kitty cat, I can't remember any more of them at the moment, but I know them as I hear them.
Oh and when she see's a picture of herself she says "Anna".
Let's see.. what else, I'm probably not going to get to go to Texas in February because I just fired another associate and have to hire at least 3 or 4 more girls.. oh and my part time manager quit too. Granted, none of these people that have left are big losses, but it makes it more difficult on the rest of the team until we're staffed again. So now I'm hoping first part of March.
I did get to go see Dane Cook, thanks to my sister, this past weekend! He was hilarious! I couldn't believe the amount of people... the entire Forum was almost full! And the madness from Super Bowl... I think the last time I lived here during a Super Bowl was 2001.. I just don't remember it being so eventful. There were celebrity parties all week, charity events, and of course the NFL experience.
Next week my dad comes into town! I can't wait.. I think we're going to take him to the State Fair, and he's going to go with Emily and Adrianna to her Valentine's Day Party at Gymboree on Friday but other than that I'm just really looking forward to spending time with him. I can't wait to take him to my new store and show him the circle.. it's so nice down there!
My sister told me this weekend that they think they'll be getting their orders soon to move to Colorado.. I meet this with mixed emotions, on one hand I want them to find out what's going on so they can start to settle down especially with my niece on the way! But.. I really don't want them to move now.. I've been able to develop a relationship with my sister, finally, and wether that's been good or bad is for her to say ;-) And I want my little girl to be able to know her first cousin.. and to know my family and my sister (and Allen) have been so supportive of me these last 17 months I don't know what I'll do without them if they go! I know there's always email, pictures and plane trips, but it's not like being around all the time.
Until next time..

New Year, New Me!
Since I had Adrianna 17 months ago, and well a few years prior to that my body is less than what I'd like it to be. So I'm making the commitment to myself to get into shape again!
I had my first session with my trainer today, and it didn't go quite so well.. could have been because I was exhausted and haven't had anything to eat, or perhaps because I was missing my morning triple grande half caramel half vanilla skinny latte from Starbucks! But I realized that I really need to start taking better care of myself not just for me, but for Adrianna too.
I was joking with Athena, my new assistant manager, at work the other day about Jenny Craig, how we were going to do it. She to lose weight for her wedding in March, and me to lose the baby weight, lol. But now I'm thinking it might be a good idea, but I think I'll try Nutri System.
I also found a new perfume that I really like! These 2 ladies came into the store on Saturday or could have been Sunday (my days are running into each other) and they smelled so great! It's called Bond no.9 and it's a bunch of fragrances named after neighborhoods in NYC! They had on Bleeker Street and Union Station and I loved them! So I'm going to spoil myself a little with that too!
I'm trying to plan a trip to Ft. Worth for February.. I need to see my friends! I miss all of them so much, and it will be nice to get away for a few days anyways.. and Adrianna always has fun when we go! Although she could have fun anywhere these days. I'm also going to try to get up to Michigan for a weekend in March I think. My sister is going for a week, so maybe I'll get there for a few days too. I know I want to see my family and of course they all want to see Adrianna too! It's good to travel now still because at least she flies for free! We only have 7 more months of that so I'm trying to take advantage! Maybe I'll luck out and I can sneak her under the radar for a few more months after she turns 2 we'll see.
My dad is coming down next month and I think my aunt and cousin are going to come down too! I miss my family so much, I used to think I was nothing like any of them, but the older I get I see how we are all just alike! From both sides of the family even!
I guess that's all.. I need to go finish the laundry and attempt some lunch for me and Adrianna.
